Aprifel, the Agency for Research and Information on Fruit and Vegetables, is an association under the law of 1901, founded in 1981. It acts as an interface between scientists, health professionals, civil society, educational experts, and fruit and vegetable professionals. Aprifel works for the dissemination of scientific information on fruit and vegetables, health, food safety, and sustainability.
The One Health approach challenges all health actors – human, animal and environment – to adopt a transversal and holistic perspective. For its 20th anniversary, EGEA aims to explore the contribution of diet and fruit and vegetables to global health.
Created by Aprifel in 2003, EGEA brings together all stakeholders and combines multidisciplinary knowledge to make practical and concrete evidence-based recommendations for changes in practice and policy.
